Nigerian striker Emmanuel Ogbole made an instant impact on his full debut for Olympic Azzaweya, scoring a stunning goal to help his side secure a 2-0 victory over Al-Ittihad in the Libyan Premier League on Monday, Soccernet.football reports.
The 21-year-old forward, last season’s Nigerian FA Cup golden boot winner and Kwara United’s top scorer, joined the Libyan club during the January transfer window.

After making a brief appearance as a substitute in a 1-0 win over Abu Salim, Ogbole was handed his first start by head coach Hamdi Bataw—and he repaid that faith in style.
The breakthrough moment came in the 41st minute when Ogbole pounced on a loose ball outside the penalty area.
With exceptional composure, the Super Eagles B forward controlled it before unleashing a thunderous volley past the goalkeeper, giving Olympic Azzaweya a crucial lead before half-time.

Al-Ittihad pushed for an equalizer in the second half, but Olympic Azzaweya’s defense remained resolute.
The home side then doubled their advantage in the 69th minute through Tidjani Anaane, sealing a dominant performance and stretching their unbeaten run to ten matches.
With this victory, Olympic Azzaweya moved to the top of the Libyan Premier League table with 24 points from 10 matches, edging ahead of second-placed Swehly SC, who have a game in hand. Al-Ittihad, meanwhile, remain fourth with 14 points.
