Watch the Official Trailer for Fall Starring Grace Caroline Currey

Fall plot

If you have a fear of heights, then you may want to be wary watching the official trailer for Fall. The Lionsgate film is sure to keep everyone with acrophobia away from the theater, as the movie seems to constantly dangle its two stars from ridiculous heights with the ever-persistent threat of falling.

The teaser, released last month, was filled with a CGI tower and not much to go on story-wise. However, the first official trailer gives audiences a much cleaner look at the film with updated VFX and a backstory for the main character. The movie could be the type that drains its viewers from a plot that’s relentlessly on edge. Based on our look at the film, the two main characters will be stranded on top of a 2,000-foot tower for the better part of the movie, making audiences grateful to be sitting in theater seats. Check out the trailer from the Lionsgate YouTube channel below.

In the trailer, we’re introduced to a couple with a love for climbing until a tragic accident takes one of their lives. Becky takes a year-long hiatus from climbing, with nightmares involving her trauma keeping her from returning to her passion. Eventually, her friend, Hunter, convinces Becky to return to climbing, and what better way to get back into the groove of things than climbing a 2,000-foot, dangerously old radio tower?

The pair make it to the top of the climb, and everything goes smoothly until the ladder which brought them up ultimately falls apart. With the two girls now stranded with no cell phone reception, the duo must figure out a way to reach help or find their way down the tower of death.

Fall is set to drop in theaters next month, on Aug. 12th.

Fall currently features a relatively small cast; however, it seems pretty clear that most of the film will focus on two characters. Becky, the young woman who lost her best friend and soulmate on a previous climbing expedition, is played by Grace Caroline Currey. Her other friend, Hunter, will be played by Virginia Gardner (Project Almanac, Halloween). Rounding out the cast is Jeffrey Dean Morgan (The Walking Dead, Watchmen), Mason Gooding (Scream, Booksmart), Julia Pace Mitchell (Notorious), and Jasper Cole (American Horror Story, Westworld).

Scott Mann helms the film, previously known for his work on Heist starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Robert De Niro, as well as the 2009 film The Tournament. Mann, along with James Harris, Mark Lane, and Christian Mercuri, is producing Fall.

Will you be able to stand up to the fear-inducing heights of Fall?
