THE Super Eagles of Nigeria will start training for their final 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying group matches tomorrow in South Africa.
The three-time African champions will play Lesotho in Polokwane, South Africa on Friday before rounding off the campaign against Benin Republic in Uyo on Tuesday next week.
The Super Eagles camp opened today at The Ranch Hotel in Polokwane, with head coach Eric Chelle and his backroom staff having arrived in South Africa.
The players are expected to head straight to Polokwane from their bases across Europe, with some of them already in Johannesburg.
According to the schedule, full training will begin tomorrow, with all the invited players expected to have arrived in Polokwane by then.
The Lesotho clash is billed for the Peter Mokaba Stadium, with the Super Eagles needing to win to stay alive in the bid to qualify for the World Cup in the United States of America, Mexico and Canada.
Currently, the Super Eagles are third in African qualifying Group C, three points behind both Benin Republic and South Africa, with only one automatic ticket available.
