The Super Eagles are in a really terrible situation, but Terem Moffi believes a miracle will happen…

Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi has expressed optimism over the team’s chances of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Soccernet.ng reports.

Moffi just got his first call up to the Super Eagles in over a year, but he returns to the team under very tough conditions.

Nigeria play their last two games in the World Cup Qualifiers series in this international break, but the team’s chances of nicking a ticket are extremely slim. In fact, they would need a miracle to make it.

The Super Eagles currently sit third in Group C of the qualifiers, four points adrift Benin and South Africa, who are first and second.

With just two games left, Nigeria will need to win their two games emphatically and hope that Benin and and South Africa gain just one point from their own games.

This seems almost impossible, especially as South Africa will host Zimbabwe and Rwanda in their final games of the series.

What Terem Moffi Said About Super Eagles’ Chances Of Making The World Cup

Despite the slim possibility of Nigeria making the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Super Eagles striker Moffi is positive that things will go their way.

“We the guys, we’re really confident about qualifying for the World Cup. We have to do our part and wait for the result of the other teams. We are confident that things will go our way,” Moffi told NFF TV.

The OGC Nice man might not start for the Super Eagles in their next two games, as it seems Eric Chelle’s first two options in attack are Victor Osimhen and Tolu Arokodare.

Nonetheless, he will be looking to help the team if he gets the opportunity to play.
