Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has written a heartfelt note to the public following the burial of her mother.
In an Instagram post, she noted how on Saturday, they celebrated her mother, surrounded by her grandchildren and the love of friends and family.
Mercy said they felt strengthened and appreciated them for their prayers, kindness, and support.
“Yesterday, we celebrated our mother. Surrounded by her grandchildren and the love of friends and family, we felt strengthened. Thank you all for your prayers, kindness, and support. We appreciate you deeply.

Kemi Filani reported over the weekend that the actress, finally laid her to rest and threw a grand party to celebrate her life well spent.
As expected, the Nollywood industry came out in large numbers to support her. Present at the event were the fourth wife of the Ooni of Ife, Olori Ashley; former House of Representatives member Abike Dabiri; and other notable figures.
The stars at the party were Iyabo Ojo, Toyin Abraham, Kiekie, Aisha Lawal, Odunlade Adekola, Mide Martins and husband Afeez Owo, Eniola Ajao, Faithia Williams, Omowunmi Dada, Eniola Badmus, Nkechi Blessing, Femi Adebayo, Saidi Balogun, Foluke Daramola, Sikiratu Sindodo, Bakare Zainab, Omowunmi Ajiboye, Seyi Edun, Kemi Korede, Laide Bakare, Bimbo Thomas, Israel DMW, and more.
Days before her burial, Aigbe mother’s burial, Aigbe had written a note to the deceased, praying that God give them the strength to walk through this difficult time. She stated that her heart was full of memories, noting how her late mother was a blessing, a quiet light, and a gentle guide.
Recall that in September Aigbe, had lost her mother, Mrs Abisola Grace Owodunni. She made the sad news known on her Instagram page with a candlelight photo and a caption, “RIP mum”.
In an appreciation post, she thanked the public for their DMs, comments, prayers, support and show of love during their difficult time. She expressed how grateful she was.
In an heartbreaking post, she, said planning the burial of a loved one was so emotionally and mentally draining. She expressed how saddening it was visiting cemeteries, looking at vaults, and checking coffins. Crying out to God, she said she can’t even explain the feeling.
