Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson has sent heart and prayers to Ooni of Ife’s estranged wife, Naomi Silekunola following the Ibadan stampede.
Kemi Filani reported early this week that Naomi had gotten herself into trouble with her recent charity work. The mother of the crown prince, in collaboration with Agidigbo 88.7 FM, Ibadan, owned by Oriyomi Hazmat, had organized an event to feed the less privileged. Unfortunately, the event led to the death of over 32 children which was caused by a stampede.
The former Queen was arrested alongside Hazmat, and on Tuesday, a Chief Magistrate ordered her remand and that of Oriyomi Hazmat, and The Islamic High School principal, Fasasi Abdulahi, at the Agodi Correctional Facility. They were arraigned on a four-count charge of conspiracy, acceleration of death, negligent acts causing harm, and failure to provide adequate security and medical facilities.
Taking to his Instagram page, Adeniyi showed support for her as he noted how the people of Ondo State are known for their kind-heartedness and generosity. He prayed that God see her through and bring her back stronger.
“First and foremost, condolences to the family of lost ones; no family deserves this kind of pain at this time or any other. I pray the good lord gives you the fortitude to bear the loss and comfort the family!! Amen
Secondly, My heart and prayers go to @queen_silekunolanaomi_ogunwusi, whose intentions were not to hurt or kill but to give and feed!! This time, too, shall pass, and the God of your good deeds will speak for you, restore you, and bring you back stronger!!!
We, the people of Ondo state, are known for our kindheartedness and generosity, which is clearly your motive for putting the program together. I pray God to see you through this in time and bring you back stronger!! @queen_silekunolanaomi_ogunwusi.
Lastly, I know for a fact that the law must be upheld, but we beseech the authorities in charge to temper justice with mercies and look beyond the tragic incident!
GOD BLESS NIGERIA”.
