Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has urged authorities to release Samuel “Sammy” Daniels, the brother of actress Regina Daniels.
Naijaonpoint reports that Sammy was arrested following a dispute involving Regina and her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
The arrest has stirred reactions on social media, with many expressing concern over the treatment of the actress’ family.
Yvonne Jegede used her Instagram platform to speak out, describing the situation as an injustice and stressing the importance of standing up for those affected.
She wrote: “Evil thrives when good people are silent. We will not sit and watch the ongoing injustice because a young girl decided to exit a union. Sir, your current actions are proving the young girl right. This is a fight for the girl-child and for our democracy as Nigerians. #freesamuelojeagwu”
In other news, Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson has stormed a police station in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) over the whereabouts of Regina Daniels Brother, Sammy West.
Naijaonpoint reports that Johnson had earlier called for the release of Daniel’s brother.
Recall that Sammy was arrested on Monday amid the marital woes between Regina and her billionaire husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Reacting to the ongoing issue, the actress described it as the worst form of injustice is pretended justice.
In her words, “The worst form of injustice is pretended justice. A child was arrested, no one can or has been allowed to see him for two days. He was flown from Lagos to Abuja and he is allegedly been taken to court from the airport. How did we get here? Nigeria…Wow #whereissamuel #freesamuelojelagewu.”
