Legendary Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, better known as 2baba or 2face, has come under massive backlash over his anniversary tribute.
The music icon, who is celebrating 25 years in the industry, has written an open letter to the most important people in his life, expressing his appreciation for their support.
In his letter, he acknowledged his new wife, Natasha, his former band members Blackface and Faze, his manager, Efe Omorogbe, his colleagues, family, and friends. 2Baba announced that he would be hosting a party at the Congress Hall, Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, on November 14, 2025.
The music icon excluded his ex-wife, Annie Idibia, from his tribute, which didn’t sit well with many, as the actress stood by him and played a huge role in his early career days.

Recall that on July 25th 2025, the music icon had traditionally wedded Natasha, in a low-key ceremony attended by close family members, including the singer’s parents.
On his 50th birthday, in September, the legendary singer released an official statement, noting how many who started this path with him are no longer here. He appreciated his family members, management, colleagues, and others who had supported him in one way or another.
His wife, Natasha had penned a sweet note to him, describing him as the love of her life. Natasha pointed out the irony of how 2baba is 20 years older than her, yet looks younger than her. The Edo lawmaker stated that her joy was now complete with him, and waking up to him every morning is one of the greatest gifts she has ever received.
