Additional records following Olukoga’s arrest also reveal some of the circumstances surrounding Lampley’s murder.
According to personal bond documents, Olokuga and others met with Belmbe for allegedly selling a gun to the victim. The group met Bumblebee in a Volkswagen Passat, and when the victim tried to pay for it, he was told the money was not enough. This is when someone in the car opened fire and the car took off.
The deputies originally said they were looking into the possibility of it being a drug-related crime.
The statement appears to be in line with Surveillance video which was acquired by ABC13 shortly after February 12 shooting On Imperial Valley Drive in the North Park Forest neighborhood of northern Harris County.
Lampley was seen talking to someone in a gray car before he was shot. Harris County sheriff’s deputies said he was shot at least twice before he tried to run to get help, but collapsed and died.
The deputies said they believed the victim lived in an apartment complex near the center of the strip where everything happened.
Deccane High School football coach Anthony Williams Lampley identified as one of his players.
