Ladipo Johnson, National Publicity Secretary of the New Nigeria People’s Party, has dismissed claims that Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso planned to travel to Lagos to beg or apologize to party leaders.
According To NewsVista Reporter, Johnson described the rumors as politically naive and stressed that serious negotiations are conducted privately, not through public displays of contrition. He said, “Whoever told you he was going to Lagos to beg or apologize is being childish — serious political negotiations are not conducted in that immature manner.”
Johnson highlighted Kwankwaso’s preference for measured diplomacy, insisting that any reconciliation or strategic discussions would be handled confidentially, in line with proper political protocols. He warned that circulating such stories only undermines party cohesion and spreads misinformation.
The NNPP spokesperson reiterated that Kwankwaso remains focused on strategic party growth and preparations for upcoming elections, emphasizing that distractions from baseless rumors will not derail the party’s plans.
