Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has made an announcement ahead of the 2027 elections.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, he revealed that he will only vote for any presidential candidate who gives him money. He stated that whoever drops money first between Peter Obi and Tinubu is the one he will endorse, and he will make sure his fans vote for him.
“I will only vote for anyone who gives me money for the 2027 elections. Whoever drops money first between Peter Obi and Tinubu is the one I will endorse, and I will make sure my fans vote for him”.
Kemi Filani reported last year, that the controversial singer had expressed disappointment after meeting Peter Obi in Benin City, Edo State. The street singer lamented bitterly over how the former governor didn’t give him any money. He expressed belief that the President would have given him money if he had the opportunity of meeting him.
Opening up about their meeting in June, Portable said he only received a handshake when he met the politician, who was flying economy, while he was flying first class. In what seemed like a shot at him, Portable stated that if he had met with the President, he would have gifted him bundles of cash.
In July, the street singer had met Seyi Tinubu, who he stated had changed his life. Sending a message to Nigerians, he assured them that they would be better.
In different news, the singer had won hearts, after he repaired the road in Sango-Ota, as he noted how the roads in Nigeria were too bad.
He had publicly called out Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, after a bad road in Sango-Ota nearly claimed his life while driving his Range Rover as it fell inside a ditch. The controversial singer, who isn’t afraid of anyone, had told the governor to vacate his seat if he can’t fix all the bad roads, stressing that Yayi was a better candidate to replace him.
He later claimed he received N2 million as compensation for calling out the governor and revealed that the Governor had promised he would fix all the bad roads in the state.
To confirm the governor’s promise, Portable visited the Atan-Lusada-Agabara road project, where he gave kudos to the government.
