American rapper, Cardi B, has opened up on why controversies continue to trail her, especially after her recent pregnancy announcement.
Naijaonpoint reports that the music star revealed that she never sets out to create drama but often finds herself surrounded by it because of her outspoken nature and bold personality.
She explained that her presence naturally attracts attention, making her an easy target for gossip and criticism.
Her latest pregnancy with NFL player Stefon Diggs has stirred reactions, coming at a time when she is still in the process of divorcing her husband, rapper Offset.
Cardi B admitted that her strong voice and vibrant aura often invite public scrutiny, even though she does not deliberately seek controversy.
She added that the constant drama around her life can be stressful, but she believes some people are followed by such situations, no matter how much they try to avoid them.
“I didn’t think I was that much drama. When I was in high school and I was voted most dramatic in my high school yearbook, I was surprised. I don’t like drama, it just follows me. Sometimes, certain things just followed certain people.
“When you have like a big personality like me or when you have a mouth like me or whatever aura that I give, it [drama] will follow you because it makes you like an easier target. I don’t like drama. It stresses me”, she told CBS News.
