In celebration of Mother’s Day, former Big Brother Naija housemate, Queen Mercy Atang, has shared an unknown truth about herself.
She revealed that years back, she never wanted to give birth because she was scared. But now, when she thinks about it, she laughs at herself as life has a way of changing one’s mind.
The reality star said all she wants now is to be the best mother she can be. She disclosed that motherhood has made her more focused, resilient, and more motivated to work hard and build a future her kids will be proud of.
“Motherhood has been such an incredible journey. Funny enough, years ago, I used to say I never wanted to give birth because I was so scared. Now, when I think about it, I just laugh at myself.
Life really has a way of changing your mind.
Today, all I want is to be the best mother I can be. Motherhood has made me more focused, more resilient, and more motivated to work hard and build a future my kids will be proud of. Even on the days when I’m tired and running on little sleep, the love makes it all worth it.

In a leaked chat, Queen called out Lord Lamba for not being present for their daughter. She also revealed that he only sent 150,000 monthly upkeep for their daughter, which was not enough. She further expressed that even though he was trying to paint her out as a cheat, she had been extremely loyal during the course of their relationship. She further called him out for being a dog and sleeping with different girls even when they were dating.
It was reported that Lamba failed to show up at court during one of the hearing sessions to fight for custody over his daughter.
Recall that following her engagement, in 2024, her baby daddy Lord Lamba tried to sabotage her big moment as he publicly acknowledged his daughter on the day Queen announced her engagement to her lover.
Speaking out, Lord Lamba denied the accusations and cleared the air about trying to stop Queen from finding her happiness. He claimed he posted about his daughter to clarify the paternity of his daughter. He also spoke about things not working out between them and how they are trying to give their daughter the best despite not being together.
It was later learned that Lord Lamba had filed a lawsuit against her, demanding full custody of their child as he deemed the reality star unfit to raise their child.
Instagram blogger, Cutie Julls claimed that Lamba had been publicly shying away from claiming his daughter as his child and wanted his daughter to be given to his mother to raise. The blogger claimed that Mercy has been nothing but a good mother to their child and has been the one catering to the bills of their child.
In another post, the blogger revealed how Lord Lamba’s family completely denied Queen’s pregnancy in the beginning and had conducted a DNA test for the child. A leaked voice note also showed Queen crying to Lord Lamba about his mother’s hatred of her.
