Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa has shared details about her early experience with motherhood.
Naijaonpoint reports that the actress revealed why she stopped breastfeeding her daughter twenty-one days after birth.
Toke welcomed her first child, Yakira Eliana, in August 2025 at the age of 40.
During an interaction with fans on Snapchat, she explained that her breast milk production stopped unexpectedly three weeks after giving birth, leading her to discontinue breastfeeding.
The fan asked: “Why aren’t you breastfeeding?”
Toke replied: “Cos my breast milk output stopped after 3 weeks. Any other question??”
This revelation comes weeks after Toke cleared the air on the identity of her baby daddy.
Toke, who has failed to reveal the identity of the father, dismissed a comment about him being a Muslim.
Reacting to Toke’s TikTok post, a fan claimed that the father of her baby is a Muslim because of her name, Yakira.
The fan wrote, “I think Yakira’s dad is a Muslim.”
In response, Toke Makinwa said her baby is not a Muslin and her daughter’s name is a Hebrew name, which means “beloved, precious, and someone of great worth.”
She wrote, “He is not. Yakira is a Hebrew name. Beloved, precious and someone of great worth”.
