Veteran Nollywood actor Fatai Odua, popularly known as Lalude, has expressed deep disappointment and frustration over what he describes as neglect by the All Progressives Congress (APC) after campaigning vigorously for both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during the last general election.

In a candid interview now making the rounds on social media, Lalude recounted how he and several colleagues committed nearly two months of their time, energy, and reputation to canvass support for the APC.

However, according to him, all promises of being appreciated or rewarded after the party’s victory were ultimately broken.

“After we campaigned for Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu, we were not given a dime. If I should place a curse on them, it will follow them throughout life,” Lalude stated.

He specifically called out Lagos State Parks Management Committee Chairman, MC Oluomo, whom he claimed rallied entertainers to support the APC and personally made promises to him and fellow actor Alapini.

“It was MC Oluomo that gathered us together to campaign. In fact, he personally promised Alapini and I that we should ask him for anything we wanted. We told him what we wanted but he didn’t fulfil his promise,” Lalude said.

The actor lamented that their efforts, done “with sweat” and dedication, were ultimately disregarded after the party clinched power. He expressed strong emotional pain, even invoking curses on those he claimed blocked their benefits.

“Those that prevented us from receiving money shall be cursed for life,” he added.
