Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Ayodele Fayose, has asserted that the re-election of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, will silence all fake and empty prophecies.
Naijaonpoint reports that Fayose, in a statement he issued on Thursday, said no room for psychological prophecies and empty predictions that lack genuine insight.
According to the former Governor of Ekiti State, Oyebanji’s performance will be remembered during the upcoming governorship election and not empty prophecies.
He said, “In Ekiti State’s political landscape, one thing is clear: Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election is a foregone conclusion due to his impressive track record and the people’s faith in his leadership. The people of Ekiti have spoken loud and clear through their actions.
“As Ekiti State prepares for the next phase of its development, it’s clear that Governor Oyebanji is the people’s choice.
“His leadership has earned him a mandate that transcends party lines, and his commitment to the people of Ekiti is unwavering. In the end, it’s Oyebanji’s performance that will be remembered, not empty prophecies.”
In other news, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State recently lambasted the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and his loyalists for threatening the planned Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Convention.
Wike and his allies had raised a counter force against the party’s national convention, scheduled to hold in Ibadan on November 15-16.
The leaders under the platform of Eminent Leaders and Concerned Stakeholders of the PDP in Abuja on Monday night, demanded fresh congresses in Ebonyi, Anambra, and Ekiti states to address what they described as outstanding disputes.
The communique of the meeting, read by former Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, stressed that fairness, inclusivity, and respect for judicial decisions must guide the party’s conduct ahead of its national convention.
They warned that disregarding their resolutions could render the planned convention invalid and amount to disenfranchising genuine members.
