tragic incident has rocked a neighborhood in Gombe city after a woman identified as Fauziyya reportedly died from poisoning, allegedly administered by her co-wife.
The incident occurred in the Riyal Anti Kalare area of the Gombe metropolis, leaving the local community in shock. According to a source, Ismail Abubakar Maisalati, the deadly act was reportedly fueled by jealousy over their shared husband.
The suspect is alleged to have laced Fauziyya’s meal with a poisonous substance known locally as “Gidigam.” Unaware of the danger, Fauziyya consumed the tainted food, leading to her untimely death.
Eyewitnesses say tensions between the co-wives had been escalating for some time, driven by competition for their husband’s attention. The loss has left Fauziyya’s family, including her husband and children, grieving.
