Nyesom Wike, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT), has approved the immediate promotion of more than 2,000 personnel across the federal capital development authority (FCDA) and the federal capital territory administration (FCTA).
The latest elevation exercise follows promotion examinations conducted between Tuesday, November 25 and Saturday, November 29, 2025.
Chairman of the FCT civil service commission, Emeka Ezeh, confirmed the development on Wednesday, noting that the promoted officers fall within 165 different cadres.
Ezeh hailed the approval as a firm indication of the minister’s commitment to staff welfare and career progression, assuring that promotion exercises would continue to hold regularly.
He encouraged workers to begin early preparation ahead of the 2025 and 2026 examination cycles, stressing that “only diligent and hardworking staff will be promoted.”
Ezeh added that the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format will remain the standard for promotion assessments, saying the method will further strengthen the digital examination system already approved by the FCT Minister.
