Jordan Ezenwo Nyesom-Wike, son of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has denied any involvement in an alleged $2.1m land transaction being contested before an FCT High Court.
Jordan, who appeared before Justice Silvanus Oriji, told the court that he neither participated in the transaction nor signed any document relating to the deal, insisting that the signature attributed to him on the document was forged.
During cross-examination by counsel for the claimants, Hamza Dantani, Jordan also denied having any relationship with the parties who instituted the suit or knowing anyone named Onor Sandy, who was alleged to have accompanied him during the transaction.
He further told the court that he was outside Nigeria on September 26, 2025, the date the claimants alleged that money was handed over for the proposed acquisition of land in Abuja.
“I did not receive any money from anybody. I did not sign any document for the land deal. I only discovered that my signature was on the document like anyone else in this court,” Jordan told the court.
The defendant was earlier directed by the court to produce his international passport after an application by the claimants in the suit, marked CV/008/2026. At Wednesday’s proceedings, he presented a photocopy of the passport and undertook to produce the original whenever required.
The suit was filed by Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited, who alleged that they met Jordan in London and later sought his assistance in securing land in the FCT.
According to the claimants, Jordan allegedly offered to facilitate the acquisition of 30 hectares each in Katampe and Guzape for $2.1m, comprising $2m allegedly meant for his father and $100,000 purportedly as his personal fee.
They further alleged that the money was delivered on September 26, 2025, in the presence of Adamu Sani, Aliyu Sarki and Sai Wani, while Jordan was said to have been accompanied by Sandy.
The court has adjourned the matter until December 1, 2026, for continuation of trial.
