“Women like children are to be seen not heard” – Kate Henshaw reacts amidst Natasha Akpoti’s trial with Akpabio

Nollywood actress and fitness enthusiast Kate Henshaw has reacted to Senator Natasha Akpoti’s trial with the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.

Kemi Filani recalls that Natasha, the Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, accused Akpabio of punishing her because she refused his advances.

She made this allegation on Arise TV, where she narrated how the Senator approached her, and she refused his advances.

This was after their clash at the Senate chambers a few weeks ago.

Moving on, Kate Henshaw shared a photo of Natasha Akpoti on her Instagram, showering her with accolades.

She commended Akpothi for not allowing the backward narratives about the importance or roles of women. She spoke about how women were relegated, spineless, and considered weak in the past.

Kate Henshaw regarded the Senator as her crush for the day.

She wrote, “wcw : @natashaakpoti

We forget so readily how far we have come.
We forget our lineage, our history, our strength.
We are told we are weak, we are spineless, and cannot think.
We accept the new role foisted on us, the subtle submission imposed by religion, by society, by tradition.
They tell us we cannot govern, we cannot rule, we cannot make our own decisions.
They tell us to shut up and sit down.
Women like children are to be seen not heard.
Do you not know that in nearly all species, the female is much more deadly than the male?

We are the offspring of countless women warriors!!”
