SUPER Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong and Alex Iwobi were among the players that arrived in Morocco today for the 2026 FIFA World Cup play-offs.
The Super Eagles camp opened in Rabat today for the African play-offs as Eric Chelle’s side prepare to face Gabon in the first semi-final on Thursday.
Fulham midfielder Iwobi was one of the first five players to report to camp in the afternoon, along with his two clubmates Calvin Bassey and Samuel Chukwueze, as well as Wolves striker Tolu Arokodare and Russia-based Olakunle Olusegun.
Besiktas midfielder Wilfred Ndidi followed shortly after, with Moses Simon and Troost-Ekong joining them in the evening.
Two more players, Benjamin Fredericks and
Chidozie Awaziem, were being expected as at 11pm tonight.
The other players in the 24-man squad, including Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman and Stanley Nwabali, will be joining the squad tomorrow (Monday).
If the Super Eagles beat Gabon on Thursday, they will face either Cameroon or the Democratic Republic of Congo on Sunday in the African play-offs final for the sole ticket to the intercontinental play-offs in Mexico next March.
