Marvel kills off the X-Men‘s most dangerous enemy in his own title, and nobody could have predicted who would end up doing it. Doug Ramsey has accomplished what many Marvel supervillains have only dreamed of doing, as he has led many of Marvel’s greatest heroes to die in a dystopian future. While his victory won’t last forever, Revelation’s reign has unleashed multiple chain reactions that have caused major casualties no one could have foreseen.
Among all of the X-Men’s enemies, human antagonists are often the most twisted. They’re often the cruelest, and their hatred for mutantkind is uncomfortably familiar to real-life bigots whose hatred is based exclusively on discrimination. However, Mister Sinister also stands out due to how twisted his plans usually are, as well as how obsessed with mutants he is, being a human-turned-mutate.
Apocalypse’s newest successor, Revelation, is currently making a bigger impact on mutantkind than Mister Sinister, whose suspicious attempts to find a cure to the X-Virus fail to redeem his past sins.
A Venom-Bonded Polaris Kills Mister Sinister

After coming extremely close to finding a cure to the X-Virus, Mister Sinister’s black ops team starts falling one by one. Wolverine kills Omega Red, and Revelation’s seraphim and choristers finish the job by killing Lady Fantomex, Domino, Black Cat, and Havok. Before Alex Summers dies, he lets Venom run free. And when Venom reports back to base, the symbiote reveals his host: Polaris, who kills Mister Sinister in cold blood.
Throughout Sinister’s Six, Venom has refused to reveal his host, and he has only communicated through hissing and body language. Havok is the member of Sinister’s squad who has treated the symbiote with the most respect, but he has no idea it’s Polaris inside the musclebound alien. After all, Lorna seemingly died after giving birth to Alex Summers’ son. Sinister‘s Six #3 reveals that Polaris made it, and that Venom bonded to her after Sinister’s assistants secretly healed her up.
Mister Sinister is particularly hard to kill for good, and he’s likely to return before the Age of Revelation concludes. That said, his cruelty plays against him. The fact that his assistants never disclosed Polaris’ status to him suggests not even his most loyal allies can tolerate him. Sinister’s complete lack of empathy made a rather simple housekeeping robot develop its own.
Polaris And Havok Deserve A Happy Ending After Age Of Revelation
Lorna And Alex’s Son Needs To Become Canon
Marvel has repeatedly shown that characters introduced in alternate timelines can transition into main continuity seamlessly. Polaris and Havok’s son is one of many figures born from an alternate-future catastrophe with enough narrative potential to earn a spot in prime continuity. Aside from the mystery around his mutant powers, he could push his parents’ story forward like no recent story has been able to.
