Just like tax season, Xbox Game Pass losing some titles is inevitable. While it doesn’t happen too often, and many of the games that cycle out aren’t of significant consequence, on November 30, several experiences are leaving the service.
Microsoft shared the news over on their official Xbox Game Pass blog, and thankfully, it’s only five games. It’s not something you love to hear, given the subscription’s price bump, but you do have a few more days to clear out some of your Xbox Game Pass backlog.
Xbox Game Pass Loses 5 Games This Month
A Few Are Heavy-Hitters
On November 30, Xbox Game Pass will be losing several games, a few of which are massive losses for the service as a whole. Here’s the full breakdown:
- Barbie Project Friendship
- Lords Of The Fallen
- Octopath Traveler
- Octopath Traveler 2
- SteamWorld Build
The pair of Octopath Traveler games leaving the service hurts the most, especially since Octopath Traveler 0 is just around the corner. It’s a massive shame, as these two games are the longest out of anything else on the list, so you’d be hard-pressed to finish them by November 30 if you started them now.
On the flipside of the equation, Lords of the Fallen is a decent Souls-like that genre fans could feasibly finish by the deadline, and SteamWorld Build offers up a bit of quirky simulation/management on the side. Give them a shot if you’re pressed for time. Barbie Project Friendship seems great for families, is roughly eight hours long, and is currently sitting at a “positive” rating on Steam.
It’s also important to note that all five of these games are available on cloud, console, and PC play, so you can play them on pretty much any device you can think of. That’s an excellent option for the Octopath Traveler series in particular, which is well-suited for handheld play.
Xbox Game Pass’ 2026 Is Looking Stacked Already
There’s Lots To Choose From
As we close out 2025 and say goodbye to a few games, we’re going to be welcoming a lot more in the next year. 2026 is going to be a wild time for Xbox Game Pass, as the following titles have already been confirmed for the service:
- Fable (2026)
- Forza Horizon 6
- Gears of War: E-Day
- High On Life 2
- Persona 4 Revival
- Super Meat Boy 3D
- State of Decay 3
That’s on top of a bunch of AAA games Microsoft has floating around in 2026, and myriad indie releases that are sure to shake up the industry. While the price hike hurts, Xbox Game Pass still offers some value, especially if you bought a year or more at the old price.
