Descenders is a hugely popular multiplayer cycling game on Xbox Free Play Days this weekend that is action-packed and has an extremely active community even 6 years after its launch. It’s described as a “fast-paced extreme downhill biking game that’s easy to pick up, but difficult to master,” with procedurally generated maps that change up the ramp, slope, and “hillbomb” locations with each run.
Descenders features a fluid and “in-depth physics system,” making controls feel natural and seamless. There is also a unique progression and ability system with “mutators,” and players will team up with others by choosing a faction, either “Enemy, Arboreal or Kinetic” and will then “be bound together with other players who choose the same side as you.”
Players on Steam absolutely love Descenders, hailing it as one of the best cycling or racing games ever made.
