Nollywood actor Yemi Solade has shared the outcome of his refusal to pay for an award plaque.
Taking to his Instagram page, the light-skinned Yoruba actor shared a screenshot of the message from an event organizer where they refused to give him an award plaque over his refusal to pay for the award. In the message, the event organizer was asking the actor for sponsorship in exchange for an award. Since the actor refused to pay for the award, they decided to hold it back to save cost.
Captioning the message, Yemi wrote, “I refused to pay for the award plaque. This is the outcome”.

A few days back, Yemi had reacted to the heavy backlash he received over his loved-up video with his colleague, Sanusi Izihaq better known as Apa. The actor exchanged words with a troll who unapologetically took a swipe at the actor’s mental state.
In April, Yemi was accused by a lady of sending his nude pictures to her on Facebook. The lady questioned why anyone would think she was making up such a story, as she called the actor a pervert, noting how he has a family and had a family portrait on his Facebook page, yet was sending her his nude pictures.
Back in April of 2023, Solade left a disturbing post on his Instagram page, crying out to God for help. Sharing a photo of him looking sober, Yemi Solade hinted at battling depression, though he didn’t give further information.
Also in April of 2023, Yemi had caused a stir online with his opinion on the best way to survive in Nigeria. The Yoruba actor said that for one to survive in Nigeria, one must belong to a cult to live and to survive.
