Nigerian Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, showered a beautiful tribute to his wife, Chioma, during their white wedding in Miami, United States.
The ceremony follows the couple’s traditional wedding in Lagos State in June 2024 and their court wedding in March 2023.
Naijaonpoint reports that Davido, while exchanging vows with Chioma, expressed deep affection for his bride, describing her as his love, peace, and home.
The Grammy-nominated singer said Chioma saw a part of him that the world does not see, and she still chose him.
He said in part, “Chioma, I have been on many stages, but this is the nervous I have ever been. You are my love, my peace, my home. You came into my life quietly and because the most loudest and beautiful part of it. You saw the real me, the me the world doesn’t see and you still choose me.”
Meanwhile, Chioma has opened up about David’s unwavering support for her personal ambitions.
While acknowledging that she has faced numerous challenges over time, Chioma, popularly known as Chef Chi, described her husband as caring, intentional, and deeply invested in her growth beyond their family life.
“David cares a lot about my dreams. I’ve faced a lot of challenges over time, but he would always ask me, ‘Chi, apart from all of this, what do you actually want to do?’ Then we would have plans and have stuff coming out in the next few months. He really cares about my personal dreams,” she said in an interview with Noire TV.
