Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has come under fire for praising legendary singer 2Baba and his wife, Natasha, amid their marital drama.
On her Instagram page, she shared a clip of the couple at her event, expressing gratitude to them for attending and making a generous donation to her foundation.
Yvonne noted that her career began with 2baba’s African Queen music video, and he was present at her event 20 years later. Affirming her love for him, she stated that she celebrates and honours him always.

Her post didn’t sit well with netizens, who dragged her.

This is coming hours after a former staff member of 2Baba, identified as Kaka, granted an interview to Freeze, alleging that Natasha frequently hindered the singer’s growth and exerted psychological control over him.
According to Kaka, 2Baba rarely spoke up against her in Nigeria, but while on tour abroad, he was more vocal about wanting his music and business to progress. Kaka further alleged that Natasha was insecure about the singer’s success, fearing it would make him harder to control. He described her behaviour as psychologically diminishing, insisting it reduced the singer’s confidence and affected his mental state. He added that he eventually cut ties with the couple because he believed Natasha’s conduct impeded 2Baba’s career.
Surprisingly, 2baba had joined the Live broadcast to address the situation when he and Natasha got into a heated argument. The singer quickly exited the live stream, fueling more tension between the couple.
