DANGOTE Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in its petrol price to N899.50 per litre to provide relief to Nigerians during the Christmas and New Year festive period.
In a statement, the refinery’s spokesperson, Anthony Chiejina, explained that the price cut aims to lower transport costs during the holidays.
Additionally, customers purchasing petrol on a cash basis can acquire an extra litre on credit for every litre bought, backed by a bank guarantee from Access Bank, First Bank, or Zenith Bank.
The privately-owned refinery, which reduced its petrol price to N970 per litre in November, stated that the new price is available at its truck loading gantry or SPM.
“To ease transport costs during the festive season, Dangote Refinery is offering a holiday discount on PMS. From today, our petrol will be sold at N899.50 per litre,” Chiejina said.
He also expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their continued support and reaffirmed the refinery’s commitment to supplying premium-quality, competitively priced petroleum products that are environmentally and engine-friendly.
Chiejina highlighted that the refinery’s operations, with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day (BPD), mark an end to Nigeria’s reliance on substandard and blended imported fuel products, which have historically posed risks to public health, machinery, and the environment.
