A 1.19 per cent decline was recorded by the NASD Over-the-Counter (OTC) Securities Exchange on Tuesday, September 30, with 11 Plc giving up N22.00 to close at N203.00 per unit versus Monday’s N225.00 per unit, and Central Securities Clearing System (CSCS) Plc going down by N3.45 to N34.05 per share from N37.50 per share.

This crashed the NASD Unlisted Security Index (NSI) by 41.62 points to 3,469.94 points from the preceding session’s 3,511.56 points, and the crumbled the market capitalisation by N24.90 billion to N2.076 trillion from N2.101 trillion.

Business Post reports that the price of UBN Property Plc was slightly up yesterday by 5 Kobo to N2.20 per unit from N2.15 per unit.

When trading activity ended for the day, the volume of securities traded by investors decreased by 67.1 per cent to 360,476 units from the previous 1.1 million units, the value of securities jumped by 639.6 per cent to N49.8 million from N6.7 million, and the number of deals rose by 27.3 per cent to 14 deals from 11 deals.

Okitipupa Plc was the most traded stock by value on a year-to-date basis with 160.2 million units transacted for N6.2 billion, followed by Air Liquide Plc with 507.3 million units worth N4.2 billion, and FrieslandCampina Wamco Nigeria Plc with 45.1 million units valued at N2.0 billion.

Industrial and General Insurance (IGI) Plc was the most traded stock by volume on a year-to-date basis with 1.2 billion units worth N418.4 million, trailed by Impresit Bakolori Plc with 536.9 million units for N524.8 million, and Air Liquide Plc with 507.3 million units valued at N4.2 billion.
