A 200-level student of Babcock University, Olaoluwa Subomi Lawson, was found dead after commiting suicide in his room at his father’s house in Redemption Camp City, Ogun State.
Naijaonpoint reports that the tragic event was confirmed on Tuesday by a family member living in Festac Town, Lagos.
According to security expert, Zagazola Makama, the family had been alerted by the boy’s mother, who lives in the United Kingdom.
She informed them that her son had taken his life by hanging himself inside his room.
Olaoluwa was studying at Babcock University in Ilishan-Remo before the incident.
The reason for his action is still unknown.
Authorities are now investigating the case to understand what led to his death.
In a related development, a student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, identified as Tochi Martins Attah has died after collapsing during a football match.
Reports obtained by Naijaonpoint revealed that the tragic incident occurred on the morning of Monday, July 7, 2025, at Elmada Hostel within the university environment.
The deceased, also known as T-funds, was a 300-level Microbiology student before he reportedly switched to a medical course.
The President of Useh Youths, Engr. Sabastine Aku, confirmed the incident in a statement on social media.
