Top Super Falcons stars like Ajibade, Oshoala, and Okoronkwo had a great year, but they’ve been snubbed….

Super Falcons defender Michelle Alozie has been shortlisted for the 2025 FIFPRO Women’s 11 honour, Soccernet.ng reports.

The FIFPRO World 11 is a global football award that recognizes the best eleven players in both men’s and women’s professional football each year, and it is decided by votes from professional footballers from all the world.

FIFPRO released its shortlists for the 2025 edition for both male and female categories, and one only player made it.

There is no Nigerian in the male category. In fact, there are only two Africans on the shortlist - Achraf Hakimi and Mohamed Salah.

However, in the Women’s category, Nigeria has one nominee - Alozie. The Super Falcons star has had a great year, winning the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria. She has also been consistent for her American club Houston Dash.
