She promised that emphasis would be placed on empowering the youths, women and children while protecting the dignity of the elderly. “As we journey through 2025, let us rise above our differences and rebuild the bridges that connect us—bridges of love, respect, and understanding “It is a year to invest in one another to nurture our youth and protect the dignity of our elders, to create a country where every Nigerian can thrive, regardless of where they are born, what they believe, or what language they speak,” Mrs. Tinubu said. Meanwhile, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, in his New Year message on Wednesday called on citizens to remain steadfast in their hope in God. “Dear beloved Nigerians, I welcome you into the New Year 2025 with a message of hope and encouragement knowing what we all are going through in this blessed land. “As I bring you my New Year message and state of the nation later, I urge us all to remain steadfast in our creator who will give us a new Nigeria,” Obi said.
