The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed Tuesday, July 8, 2025, for the announcement of official cut-off marks for admissions into universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and monotechnics across the country.

The decision will be made at JAMB’s annual policy meeting, scheduled to take place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.

Naijaonpoint reports that JAMB confirmed the date on Wednesday via a post on its official 𝕏 handle.

According to the announcement, the 2025 Policy Meeting will be held on 8th July, 2025 at Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja.

The policy meeting is the gathering of stakeholders where policy guidelines and other relevant regulations on admission are discussed and ratified for the next academic year,” the statement read.

“Please note that attendance is strictly by invitation; however, you can follow us on our social media handles for live coverage,” the examination body noted.

The policy meeting is expected to bring together top stakeholders in Nigeria’s education sector, including vice-chancellors, rectors, provosts, and regulatory officials.

The meeting will determine the minimum Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) scores required for admission into different categories of tertiary institutions.

JAMB added that the forum will also provide an opportunity to finalise admission timelines, including deadlines for application, screening, and registration for the 2025/2026 academic session.

According to JAMB, top-performing candidates in the 2025 UTME will also be formally announced and celebrated during the event.

The policy meeting is regarded as a critical component of Nigeria’s admission cycle and sets the pace for admission processes across institutions of higher learning.
