2027: ‘Cancer called APC is your problem, not Tinubu’ – Lamido warns Nigerians

Sule Lamido

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and former Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido, has described the All Progressives Congress, APC, as a cancer that must be completely eradicated.

Lamido said the ruling party is a destructive force threatening the country’s survival.

Lamido told Arise News on that the ruling party’s over 10 years in office is symbolic of failure and likened the party to a deadly disease that needed urgent removal.

“We must remove this cancer called APC, which we can call malaria, cancer level 4,” Lamido, who was Jigawa Governor for eight years, said.

“APC is our problem. We must remove that corruption, which has become a cancer in Nigeria. And it has to be excised out,” he added.

Lamido warned Nigerians that it would be disastrous for the country and its citizens if the APC mistakenly returns to power after the 2027 general elections.

He noted that the ruling party has nothing to show for the years it has been in power in 2014, 2019, 2023.

“It’s the same thing. If Tinubu is Buhari, they’re all APC. Never vote for them because it’s a failure of the party and party leaders of Nigeria,” Lamido said.

Lamido backed the ideal for political coalition ahead of 2027 but added that the focus should be on uniting Nigerians around key national issues, not personalities.

“It’s not about Tinubu. It’s about APC,” he said.
