2027: Drop Wike From Your Plans, He Is Not That Kind Of Man – Dele Momodu Tells Tinubu

Tinubu and Wike

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dele Momodu, has urged President Bola Tinubu to reconsider his relationship with the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.

Momodu submitted that Wike is not the kind of personality President Tinubu should be promoting.

Speaking during a Channels Television interview on Monday, the PDP chieftain urged President Tinubu to set aside any political gain he might be expecting from Wike in 2027.

“My appeal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is that no matter what you are expecting to gain from Wike in 2027, Wike is not the kind of character you should promote; he is not the kind of young man who should hijack our common patrimony,” Momodu said.

The Ovation publisher claimed that Wike has been corrupted by power and money and has changed over the years.

“When a man who had been a nobody gets power, he begins to change slowly and steadily.

“The oppressed man respects only one man: the oppressor. Wike used to respect only one man – Rotimi Amaechi. Rotimi Amaechi has been my friend from the time he was Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly,” he said.

Momodu claimed Wike’s metamorphosis started when he took power as a local government chairman in Rivers State because he lacked the capacity to manage wealth and position.

“Of course, after power in Nigeria comes the spirit of money. Also very demonic if you don’t know how to manage it well,” Momodu submitted.

He claimed he branded Wike and helped him package some of his projects while in office as the Rivers State Governor.

Naijaonpoint, however, reports that the once cosy relationship between the two leaders has collapsed, and in recent times, they have been going against each other in the media space.
