2027 Election: We Have 310 Lawyers Ready To Handle Any Case Against Us – ADC

The uprising coalition party, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has stated that it was ready with over 310 lawyers who have volunteered to represent the ADC in all legal battles across the country.

Naijaonpoint reports that this comment comes amid preparation for the 2027 general elections, with the ADC vowing to take over power from the incumbent administration of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

During a meeting involving the Interim National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Senator David Mark, and members of the party’s National Legal Support Group, led by legal practitioner Abdullahi Abdurrahman, the latter said the team comprises professionals from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory and is fully mobilised to handle legal challenges as they arise.

“We are prepared to handle any case that may arise against ADC anywhere in the country,” he stated.

Abdurrahman added that the legal team is backing the current leadership under Senator Mark and believes in the party’s capacity to deliver meaningful national transformation.

He also urged the party’s Legal Adviser, Barrister Peter Oyewole, to continue providing relevant documentation and updates to keep the legal team well-equipped.

“The ADC of today is not a party to be taken lightly,” Abdurrahman added. “We’re not just participating; we’re in this to win.”

Naijaonpoint reports that the ADC’s legal structure includes high-profile legal minds such as former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), and constitutional law expert and former Edo State Governor, Professor Oserheimen Osunbor.

Presidency Plotting To Use Court To Sabotage ADC – David Mark

In his remark at the meeting in Abuja, Senator David Mark alleged that the ruling administration may be planning to use the judiciary to derail the party’s growing political momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“ADC is the party to beat in 2027,” Mark said.

“The current administration may attempt to use the courts to frustrate our momentum.”

He called on Nigerians to rally around the ADC as a patriotic alternative capable of charting a new course for the nation.

Mark also praised the legal team for their enthusiasm and commitment, urging them to stay vigilant.

“This is not just about defending the party; it’s about defending democracy,” he said.

Oyewole, in response, assured the legal support group that all protocols surrounding the recent political coalition that led to the party’s revival were duly followed.

“There is no cause for alarm,” Oyewole said, adding that the legal framework of the new ADC coalition is solid.
