Daughter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) chieftain, Buba Galadima, Zainab, has asserted that the 2027 election would be President Bola Tinubu’s toughest political battle ever.

Naijaonpoint reports that Zainab made this known in an interview on the Mic On podcast with Seun Okinbaloye, while discussing the chances of Tinubu winning the 2027 election.

According to her, Tinubu may get only 30 per cent of Northern votes in the 2027 presidential election.

She said, “It’s really bad, Tinubu may get maybe 30 percent or less, it’s going to be worse than the 2023 election. It’s going to be the toughest battle that he will ever see.

“It’s going to be the toughest because this coalition, as much as I don’t understand what they are doing, but anybody that sees them knows that we need to sit up.”

The coalition, comprising prominent politicians who adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC), is determined to remove Tinubu from power in 2027.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) South-South Stakeholders have officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election in 2027.

Naijaonpoint reports that this decision follows a meeting held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in Benin City, Edo State.

In a statement read by APC Vice Chairman, South-South, Victor Giadom, after the meeting, the party leaders commended President Tinubu for his efforts in repositioning Nigeria.

The statement acknowledged the President’s reforms and policies, particularly the “uncommon love and support” he has shown for the South-South region, citing the emergence of a Senate president from the region as a key highlight.

It also noted the significant developmental projects in the region, including the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road.
