WATCH THE VIDEO HERE THE Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, expressed confidence today that President Bola Tinubu would serve a full eight-year tenure as Nigeria’s leader. Speaking at a stakeholders’ meeting on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway Phase 1 at Eko Hotel, Lagos, Umahi asserted that Tinubu must be re-elected in the 2027 general elections by the “power of God.” “A man who has the courage to accomplish what was envisioned 45 years ago is the only one who can see it through to completion,” Umahi stated. “We must vote for him in 2027. The President must be re-elected by the power of God. Those in support, say ‘hi.’” He highlighted Tinubu’s achievements in the South-East since assuming office in 2023, assuring that the region would support his re-election. According to the minister, the current administration has initiated several federal projects in the South-East and across Nigeria. Umahi, a former two-term governor of Ebonyi State, pledged that the Igbos would rally behind Tinubu and ensure his victory in 2027. He further declared that the South-East would deliver 99 percent of its votes to the President in the next general election. “We have no reason to halt progress but every reason to do what is right. This approach applies not just to this project but to all ongoing initiatives. “We have several projects—Enugu to Abakaliki, Afikpo-Abia-Okigwe, and one of the President’s legacy projects. We are not sabotaging the administration. “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure 99 percent of votes from the South-East because he has been good to the people. The South-West will even let us take 99.99% in 2027,” Umahi added.
