Former Abia State Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, has dismissed the insinuation of deceiving President Bola Tinubu about winning the Southeast in the 2027 election.

Naijaonpoint reports that Kalu, while featuring on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday night, vowed to campaign for Tinubu day and night in his senatorial district and the Southeast.

While admitting that he did not put all his best in the 2023 election, Kalu expressed confidence that Tinubu would win in the Southeast in 2027.

He said, “My confidence shows you because in Abia, for the first time, President Tinubu is going to win the state in 2027.

“What gives me the confidence is my interaction with the people. What we had in 2023 was immaterial. I’m looking at the future.

“In 2023, I didn’t put in all my best, but in 2027, I will live there for 5 months, campaigning day and night, it will deliver Abia for Tinubu and APC.

“I don’t need anything from the president to deceive him.”

Meanwhile, former Kano governorship candidate and chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ibrahim Ali Amin, popularly known as Ibrahim Little, has lamented that the progress Nigerians are experiencing under President Bola Tinubu’s administration is negative.

Speaking to Daily Post, he faulted the President’s claim that the APC has effected change in the lives of Nigerians.

He was reacting to the President’s remarks during a book launch and project commissioning in Imo State.

He said, “You know, the word change can actually be positive or negative.

“If you ask Nigerians today, I mean ordinary Nigerians who have no relationship with the APC-led government or those in power, they will tell you the truth.

People who do not get crumbs from the table of APC politicians, nobody in their right senses will agree with what our president said.

He has only brought more misery to Nigerians. Whatever problem we had during Buhari’s tenure has actually worsened.”
