Sadiq Saleh Osude, Nigerian philanthropist and founder of the SOS Foundation, has officially declared his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election in Nasarawa state.

Osude, who hails from Keana local government area, said he is bringing his experience as a strategic adviser and entrepreneur in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) into politics to drive inclusive development in the state.

Announcing his campaign under the slogan “Service Today, Progress Tomorrow,” Osude said the work of his foundation will form the foundation of his manifesto.

Since 2015, the SOS Foundation has provided 60 boreholes across Nasarawa, trained over 6,000 people in vocational skills, and awarded scholarships to 1,200 students.

According to the foundation, its initiatives have directly impacted more than 60,000 beneficiaries across all 13 local government areas of the state.

Osude pledged to scale up these projects if elected, with plans to create over 500,000 jobs and attract foreign investment into the state.

He said his background in international business and humanitarian work equips him to lead Nasarawa toward economic transformation and long-term growth.
