The former governor of Delta, Ifeanyi Okowa, has said members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state must deliver massive votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
Naijaonpoint reports that Okowa stated this on Monday at the Ika federal constituency leaders and stakeholders’ meeting held in Agbor, Ika Local Government Area of Delta state.
The meeting, which was convened to brief party members on the ongoing APC electronic membership registration exercise, also had the APC national publicity secretary, Felix Morka, in attendance.
Speaking at the event, Okowa said the calibre and number of party leaders in attendance should dispel any political anxiety within the constituency.
According to Okowa, the State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, was the first to align with the APC, and the state’s election results must speak loudly across the nation.
Okowa cautioned party members against internal divisions, saying disunity weakens the party and undermines electoral success.
He said, “If we resolve, collectively and immediately, to work together, we can command political dominance across all 26 wards of the Ika federal constituency. Delta state is a model.
“Our governor was the first to align openly and decisively with Mr President, and because of that, the eyes of the nation are upon us.
“The results from Delta will speak loudly across Nigeria.”
