President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday welcomed a high‑profile delegation of political figures to the Presidential Villa, holding a closed‑door meeting that has set tongues wagging across party lines.

Those in attendance included Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike; former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose; former Benue helmsman Samuel Ortom; and ex‑Abia Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.

The quartet, long‑time allies under the banner of the PDP’s influential G‑5 bloc, were ushered into the President’s office shortly after noon and spent roughly an hour in deliberation.

Although State House officials declined to give details, Villa sources hinted that the conversation ranged from security and economic challenges to the search for a broader national consensus. “It was frank, it was cordial, and it was forward‑looking,” one aide said, stopping short of specifics.
