21 Savage is weighing in on one of Atlanta rap’s most talked-about rifts, urging Gunna and Young Thug to find their way back to each other after years of tension.
The rapper shared his thoughts publicly this week, addressing both artists directly and making it clear he believes the conflict has run its course.
“@gunna @youngthug Yall n—as fix that s–t yall love each other n—a you knew gunna wasn’t no gangster when he told the first time and we swept it under the rug for you you know he wasn’t tryna leave you to hang n—a f–k the streets we ain’t get s–t but trauma from that s–t,” he wrote.

The divide between Gunna and Young Thug traces back to the sweeping YSL RICO case that shook Atlanta’s hip-hop community in 2022. Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, was arrested alongside several YSL affiliates, while Gunna, real name Sergio Kitchens, later accepted a plea deal.
Gunna maintained he did not cooperate against Thug.
Since then, the fallout has played out in public. Leaked jail calls, cryptic social media posts and jabs in music have fueled speculation that the former collaborators are no longer on speaking terms. Thugger confirmed this in a September interview with Big Bank.
“You gotta understand bro, I had him around me every day since 2015,” Thug said at the time
. “I had him around me every day. I made him a millionaire. I bought his first apartment that he lived in. I bought it with my money… I went half-and-half with you to buy your mama first house, get her out of the hood. I did that, me! I told you to go down to the country town and get your daddy. No matter what the differences is with your daddy. I told you that… I made you reunite with your family and do the right thing. I just poured my all into him. I gave this n—a more time than my children. I gave him more time than my kids… I poured my life into these people bro, every second.”
