Nigerian media personality, Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, has voiced concerns about the mental health of legendary Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia, better known as 2Baba.
Naijaonpoint reports that in a video posted on Instagram on Wednesday, Daddy Freeze stated that he had received numerous complaints from people regarding 2Baba’s deteriorating state.
Daddy Freeze pointed out that since 2Baba made his divorce proceedings from his estranged wife, Annie, public, the singer has been deteriorating and losing value, while Annie has been improving and becoming a better person.
Daddy Freeze stated that he is privy to some worrisome videos of the singer that raise concerns, but he would not disclose the contents at the moment.
According to him, 2Baba’s brother travelled from America to Nigeria to meet and speak with the ‘One Love’ crooner, but the singer did not accept him.
He said, “This 2baba matter is a serious matter. A lot of people have reached out me to complain about 2Baba’s current deteriorating state. 2Baba is a legend that deserves to die as a legend. When 2Face left Annie, marriages end, you look at the way Annie is conducting herself. All the things we heard about Annie that she did this and that, Annie is working hard to erode whatever negative press she has. Annie is evolving into a Queen.
“While they were having the divorce issues, she also got some hits to her brand but maybe because she has better brand advisers, maybe because she has surrounded herself with people who think, look at Annie she is looking and growing. Can you say the same about 2Baba. 2baba that we look at and we do not hear his voice.’
‘’People are worried. This is not the 2Baba we know! This is not Innocent Idibia. I don’t know what has turned him into this, but this is not Innocent Idibia that me I know.”
