50 Cent has spoken out in defense of Tyler Perry, who was recently sued for sexual assault by a former actor.
The rapper posted several AI-assisted images of himself and the Atlanta director, and in one post, he writes, “Hey, I think anyone who talks bad about Tyler Perry should die. I mean we are all gonna die, but you should die now!”
Derek Dixon, who put in work on Perry’s Ruthless and The Oval, claims the entertainment mogul dangled career opportunities in front of him before things allegedly took a dark turn. Dixon says Perry subjected him to a pattern of “escalating sexual harassment, assault, and battery,” all while holding the keys to his job, paycheck, and future in the industry.
When Dixon didn’t go along with the alleged advances, he claims retaliation followed.
Perry has denied the allegations.
“This is an individual who got close to Tyler Perry for what now appears to be nothing more than setting up a scam,” his attorney, Matthew Boyd, said in a statement. “But Tyler will not be shaken down and we are confident these fabricated claims of harassment will fail.”
