50 Cent could not wait to take a jab at Dame Dash after it was revealed that his film company sold for a shockingly low price at auction.
According to the New York Post, Dash’s production company, Poppington LLC, was auctioned on Dec. 30 and sold for just $100.50. The sale was intended to help cover the nearly $1 million in Dash reportedly owed from defamation judgments. When 50 Cent caught wind of the outcome, he reacted on Instagram with characteristic bluntness.
“Damn $1 dollar,” 50 Cent wrote alongside a photo of Dash. “He popped. They took his whole sh-t! When I first got on he said a mill was nothing.”
... reported that only one bidder participated in the auction. The winning bidder, filmmaker Mike Muntaser, is also one of Dash’s creditors, with Dash owing him roughly $973,000. Muntaser described the purchase as intentional, saying it was “a jab” after years of unresolved legal battles.
“I think he’s a fool, man,” Muntaser told the outlet, adding that Dash’s ego has fueled ongoing conflict. “He’s just a problem.”
The assets sold reportedly included Dash’s film Honor Up, which starred Dash, Cam’ron and Stacey Dash, along with several documentaries.
Dash filed for bankruptcy in September, claiming limited assets while facing millions in debt.
