Tekashi 6ix9ine is clashing with 21 Savage yet again after the Atlanta rapper appeared to take a pointed jab at him during a recent interview.
While speaking on Perspektives With Bank, 21 Savage indirectly referenced the rainbow haired rapper and suggested that public opinion had effectively ended his career.
“The rat boy who was wearing lace fronts and s–t,” Savage said. He continued by accusing the rapper of cooperating with authorities in New York and added, “The Internet took his s–t down. He can’t go. Ain’t no gas in the car.”
The comments did not sit well with 6ix9ine, who quickly fired back on Instagram with a skit mocking Savage.
In the video, an actor portraying 21 begs a fake British magistrate for credibility. “I need to be from Atlanta. I need to be a gangster rapper,” the actor says. The real 6ix9ine later appears, tells the fake 21, “You’ll never be an American,” and slaps him.
The skit pokes fun at Savage’s real life immigration battle. In 2019, ICE arrested him for overstaying his visa, revealing he was a UK citizen. After a four-year legal fight, he received his green card in 2023.
This is not the first time the two have feuded. Their tension dates back to 2018 after 6ix9ine’s arrest and cooperation with federal authorities, a moment many rappers condemned. 6ix9ine recently revisited the issue, telling DJ Akademiks, “I’m a US citizen. That’s what separates us.”
Meanwhile, 6ix9ine is preparing to return to prison after he was sentenced earlier this month to three months behind bars for violating supervised release and is set to begin his sentence on Jan. 6, 2026.
