Former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has claimed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will most likely finish fourth in the 2027 election.

He stated this during an appearance on Channels Television’s programme Politics Today.

He asserted that a lot is wrong with the PDP, adding that it was unfortunate that he was absent during the National Executive Committee, NEC meeting.

According to Fayose: “PDP will come 4th in the next general election. A lot is wrong with our party (PDP), and that is the naked truth, and it is unfortunate. I was duly invited.”

The PDP has been embroiled in several layers of crisis within its leadership ranks.

The crisis led to chieftains like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Senate President David Mark, and others defecting to the opposition coalition that adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Meanwhile, Fayose  has asserted that President Bola Tinubu is the shortest distance for power to return to the North.

Naijaonpoint reports that Fayose made this known during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday.

Fayose recalled how Tinubu had told him that the shortest distance between the North and the South is APC, but he could not understand at the time.

He added that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is already in disarray, and everyone is doing what pleases them.

He said, “I recalled he told me that the shortest distance between the North and the South is APC.

“I could not understand at the time because he told me that after Buhari’s four years, anybody should be able to wait for another four years.

“So zoning to the South by PDP is good for them because today Tinubu is the shortest distance for power to return to the North.

“On if I should be trusted or not, I don’t have to be trusted because that is their problem. When I came here I said the party was already going into carcass.

“Pretenders can pretend but you know that managing the party has become an issue, everybody in that party today is doing to your tent, o Israel.”
