Nigerian dancer, Kafayat Shafau, popularly known as Kaffy, has shared her experience on the challenges she faces in dating after divorce and raising two children.
She made this known during her appearance on The Honest Bunch podcast, where she explained that some men find it difficult to accept single mothers as partners.
Naijaonpoint reports that she recalled being told by a man that he could not date her because she already had two children.

Kaffy questioned why divorced women are often overlooked in relationships, stressing that they could even make stronger partners if they have worked on themselves after separation.
She said that divorce should not automatically disqualify someone from being considered for love or marriage, as even relationships between two single people are not guaranteed to last.
She said: ‘’I have had someone tell me because I am a single mother he cannot think about dating me because I have two children.’What makes you think a woman that has been divorced is not even the better candidate if she has worked on herself? What is the guarantee that two single people today are not going to be divorced people tomorrow? So why are people feeling like ‘No I need to marry him fresh and I need to marry her fresh?’ Both of you are going into the same data that the world has computed for you that over 70% of marriages crash. You are part of the 70%.”
The dancer also spoke about her view on love, explaining that what many people describe as having butterflies in the stomach may in fact be linked to anxiety.
According to her, genuine love should bring peace of mind rather than feelings of restlessness.
