The Alumni Association of the National Institute, AANI Kano/Jigawa chapter has congratulated Professor Ibrahim Adamu Yakasai, mni (NIPSS) , SEC 41 on his electection as president of West African College of Surgeons(WACS) held in Bamako Mali.
Their goodwill message was read by the chairman Kano/Jigawa chapter at the Colloquium held on 25th May 2025 in Kano in honour of Professor Yakasai, mni, the 33rd President of the West African College of Surgeons organized by Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital . (AKTH) Bayero University Kano,(BUK) and West African College of Surgeons,(WACS)
In his keynote address Executive Governor of Kano State Abba Kabir Yusuf represented by his Deputy AbdusSalam Gwarzo described Professor Yakasai as the first indigene of Kano that was elected President of West African College of Surgeons. He also urged the new president of WACS to continue his examplnary leadership in the field Healthcare in Africa and World at large.
The chief Medical Director of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital and Vice Chancellor of Bayero University Kano in their goodwill messages extended the deepest appreciation to all participants who have traveled from far and near to witness the occasion.
